New Orleans police are investigating the rape of a woman that happened in the Loyola University parking garage on Friday morning.
The incident happened shortly after 5 a.m. in the 6300 block of St. Charles Avenue.
Police said the incident wasn't a random attack. The university also said the alleged attacker was an acquaintance of the woman.
According to NOPD, the victim allowed a man to walk her home from a bar. The victim told police the man attacked her in the garage.
Police said the man is scheduled to meet with detectives.
The investigation is ongoing.
