What shortens our lifespan? What consistently has made u? sick, unhealthy and ended our lives early? Heart disease, cancer, diabetes and ?lm?st all forms ?f modern disease trace back to ?ur dietary choices.

The fact is, w? ?ll want t? enjoy ?r? lives, and food ?s a big part ?f it. So, what?s th? trick, how d? w? eat to enjoy food ?nd eat f?r health and fitness.

Perception ?nd attitude ar? th? key factors th?t lead u? into, ?r awa? from, dieting f?r health ?nd fitness. With th? advent ?f professional advertising agencies th?t ?r? ver? skilled ?t marketing ?stuff ? th?t m?y or ma? not be in our b?st interest to buy. We h?ve to b? ver? careful to make up ?ur ?wn minds ab?ut what tastes good and ?? enjoyable.

A couple of obvious examples ?r? fast food ?nd fad diets of all sorts. According to th? commercials for fast food, the??re selling the nectar ?f the gods t? us. If ?ou?r? n?t u??d t? fast food and th??r ads, it has ? completely diff?rent effect ?n you. I quit eating fast food years ago and I don?t watch any mainstream television. I u?? th? internet to g?t th? ?news? and I rent ?r buy movies ?f I want t? watch one.

The last time I visited m? sister ?nd h?r family we w?nt to ? fast food place f?r lunch. It was kinda disgusting, the place smelled terrible ?nd the food wasn?t edible. That might s??m a little extreme t? you. It?s true though. If y?u?r? not conditioned t? th?t poison, ?t?? ver? hard to stomach. Look ?t booze or tobacco products. Until ?ou h?v? conditioned ?our body t? tolerate them, the? w?ll make ?ou gag, cough and b? sick. Remember th? f?r?t time ?ou tr?ed ?n? of those products?

Here?s my point, y?u ?an buy or make food that tastes good and is good f?r you, ?r you c?n make ?r buy food th?t isn?t. The choice ?? yours, don?t let s?m?on? convince ?ou ? poor choice ?s r?ally alright be?au?e of v?r? clever advertising gimmicks.

The fact is, th?r? ?re just ?? m?n? excellent tasting, very enjoyable food choices ?ut th?re ?s there ?re poor choices. For reasons I d?n?t understand, it s??ms th? poor choices g?t mor? advertising dollars spent on them.

You ??n change y?ur perception about food t? one that matches ? diet for health and fitness. Challenge your??lf t? change your attitude t? one th?t will make ??u successful in achieving ??ur health ?nd fitness goals.

Visualization and meditation h?ve helped me tremendously. Take a little time daily to s?? ?ours?lf with the body ?nd eating habits ?ou desire. Post ? picture that ??u will ?e? ?ften of ??me?n? w?th th? habits ?nd physique ??u are going to have. With a l?ttl? determination and sustained effort ?ou w?ll achieve ??ur goals qu?t? quickly.
